Strata building stock in Okanagan
The Okanagan covers Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Summerland, and Salmon Arm — a mix of lakeshore highrise stock, townhouse complexes through the resort communities, and 1980s–1990s wood-frame walk-ups still common in the older urban cores like Rutland and central Penticton.
The deadlines that apply here
- Electrical Planning Report (EPR): December 31, 2028 — under Strata Property Act s. 94.1 and Regulation 5.10. Required for every strata of five or more lots.
- Depreciation Report: July 1, 2027 — under Strata Property Act s. 94 and Regulation 6.2. Required if the strata has never had a report or its most recent report predates December 31, 2020.
- EV Ready Plan (EVRP): Voluntary, but the route to BC Hydro CleanBC rebates (up to $3,000 plan, up to $120,000 infrastructure). Becomes a rebate prerequisite on July 15, 2026.
What CF Electrical delivers
Three reports for Okanagan strata corporations:
Every report sealed by our P.Eng registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. Under BC OIC 497-2025, a P.Eng is a Qualified Person for both Part 3 (complex) and Part 9 (simple) buildings — concrete highrises, mid-rises, wood-frame walk-ups, and townhouse complexes alike.
